Our goal at CoastalBreezeRetreat.com is to provide an overview of our property and the resort community in which it is located. The information and downloads you see on this site are free to our visitors and subscribers but represent several hours of time and research. As such, we feel compensation is appropriate. We do have agreements with some companies who pay us and have worked hard to make this process very unobtrusive to you.    

We will occasionally accept advertising and do participate in affiliate programs. These programs provide some income and allow us to devote time and energy to the growth and upkeep of this website: CoastalBreezeRetreat.com.    

We try to look at potential products or services through the eyes of our guests to determine if they are worth the associated costs. Sometimes we promote products we have personally used without paying for. For example, a link to books on Amazon, which we may have checked out from a library. We still feel comfortable recommending these via an affiliate link.    

We might also promote products we have not paid for if they have valuable free information attached to them. Online webinars or summits are an example. Additional, related products are often offered for a fee which we may be compensated for, but our goal is for the free information to stand on its own.    

Sometimes we will promote a product we are not currently paying for or subscribing to but have paid for in the past. This might be due to needs and circumstances which change over time. Additionally, we might promote a product we have not paid for but comes highly recommended by people we trust.    

What is an Affiliate or Referral Link?  Throughout this site you will see references to affiliate links or referral links. These references are called disclosures and are a requirement as put forth by the FTC here in the United States. They are there to inform you we have a relationship with a particular product or service and if you choose to purchase that product or service via our affiliate link, we will get a small commission. Of course, this is at no extra cost to you, but it does help us support this site.
